What is Ari Mare jewelry made of?
Our jewelry is made of 316L surgical-grade stainless steel with a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating.
It's the same material trusted in surgical instruments and high-end watchmaking, bonded at the molecular level.
Saltwater. Sweat. Showers. Never tarnish, never fade. You never have to take it off.
Is it actually waterproof? How?
Yes. Swim in the ocean, go to hot yoga, wear it in the shower or at work, in the garden, or when washing dishes. You're good.
The special PVD coating is what makes the magic happen. Instead of dipping jewelry in gold to "plate" it, which wears off eventually, the pieces are placed in a vacuum chamber; gold or another metal is heated until it turns to vapor, which bonds directly onto the metal jewelry at a molecular level.
General wear will not make the piece lose its color.
I have sensitive skin. Is it hypoallergenic/safe for me?
Yes. Our pieces are made with stainless steel + PVD coating, making it perfect for hypoallergenic and sensitive skin. You can wear it without worry.
How do I take care of my jewelry?
Short version: You don't have to baby it, but a little extra love keeps it shining.
- Rinse with water and mild soap if needed.
- Wipe with a soft cloth
- Store somewhere dry and try to prevent it from touching other pieces to prevent scratching (this is good advice for all jewelry!)
How do I find my ring size?

Do you offer necklace extenders?
We do not currently offer necklace extenders.
What if my earring backs are loose?
We have taken steps to ensure this isn't a concern for Ari Mare customers. Our custom earring backs are secure and will stay on in the water, the ocean, the shower, or anywhere you go.
Where do you ship?
We ship throughout the continental U.S.
California law requires certain product disclosures that don't apply anywhere else. Ari Mare jewelry is made from stainless steel, an approved material under California's jewelry safety law. As required, we include the standard California Proposition 65 disclosure below:

We do not currently ship outside of the United States.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
How long will my order take?
We want you to get your jewelry as quickly as possible!
You'll receive a confirmation email the moment you order. Most pieces ship within 2-3 business days. Once it's out the door, delivery runs about 7-10 business days, depending on where you're located.
How do I track my order?
We ship using USPS, UPS, FedEx, and Shop.
Each of our shipping providers offers tracking numbers, which will be sent to you via email as soon as they're generated.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We move fast to get your order out, so we can't always guarantee changes once it's placed. Wrong address? Email us immediately at hello@arimare.com, and we'll do whatever we can to help.

Who pays for return shipping?
We've got you covered. Once your return is approved, you'll get a prepaid shipping label via email.
Just print it, box it up, and drop it off. No cost to you.
Can I return a gift?
Of course. We want people wearing Ari Mare to love their jewelry.
Gifted jewelry can be returned for store credit - no receipt required from the person who bought it. Just email us at hello@arimare.com with the order number (found on the gift's packing slip) or the gift-giver's name, along with as many order details as you can provide, and we'll send you a prepaid return label.
Once we receive the piece, we'll issue your store credit so you can pick something that is more you.
